Transmission BitTorrent Client 2.90 Released. Ubuntu, Linux Mint.

Transmission is an open source BitTorrent client for the GNU/Linux, BSD, Solaris and Mac OS X operating systems. It provides users with a lightweight, low on resources torrent downloader that supports multiple desktop environments.

In conclusion, Transmission is one of those unique and really great applications that you cannot live without. It is our favorite BitTorrent client, especially when working under the KDE, GNOME, Cinnamon, MATE, LXDE or Xfce desktop environments. We really wish that it could be integrated into GNOME.

To install Transmission just follow the instructions below.

1. Add the PPA to your system.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:transmissionbt/ppa
2. Now launch the Software updater.


3. Go ahead and update your system and Transmission will be downloaded and upgraded.
