Krita Animation Second Edition released. Ubuntu, Linux Mint.

Krita Animation Second Edition had been released with lots of bug fixes. Krita is a robust, fast and flexible painting application that makes creating art from scratch or existing resources a fun and productive experience. With many powerful brush engines and unique features such as multihand, mirrored and wraparound painting, Krita explicitly supports creating illustrations, concept art, storyboards, textures, matte paintings and comic books.

This is still based on the stable 2.9 version of Krita, though, not on what will become Krita 3.0. But there are a lot of crash fixes, bug fixes and improvements, and the following operations now work on animations as well

Krita Changelog:

  • Merge Down
  • Merge multiple layers
  • Flatten Layer
  • Flatten Image
  • Convert Image/Layer Color Space
  • Crop Image/Layer
  • Scale Image/Layer
  • Rotate Image/Layer
  • Shear Image/Layer

To install Krita just run the following commands via your systems Terminal.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:dimula73/krita
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install krita-animation-testing

That's all EnJoY!
