How To Install Wine 1.8 on Ubuntu 15.10 Ubuntu 14.04 And Derivatives

The Wine team is proud to announce that the stable release Wine 1.8 is now available.
This release represents 17 months of development effort and around 13,000 individual changes. The main highlights are the implementation of DirectWrite and Direct2D, and the new Pulse Audio driver.

To install Wine 1.8 just run the following commands via your systems Terminal.
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ricotz/unstable
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install wine1.8 winetricks

  4. I did all of the steps and they all worked except for one and that was "sudo apt-get install wine1.8 winetricks" when i try to put that in it says:
    "Reading package lists... Done
    Building dependency tree
    Reading state information... Done
    Package wine1.8 is not available, but is referred to by another package.
    This may mean that the package is missing, has been obsoleted, or
    is only available from another source
    E: Package 'wine1.8' has no installation candidate"
    can someone help me
