Wine 1.7.49 recently released Install On Ubuntu, Linux Mint.

Wine 1.7.49

released, comes various bug fixes including new features which includes, Fleshed out OpenMP implementation, I/O stream support in the MSVCIRT C++ runtime, Support for pixel snapping in DirectWrite, More support for OpenGL core contexts.

Wine 1.7.49 Changelog
  • DirectWrite is now good enough for rendering text in Steam.
  • A number of Direct2D improvements.
  • Some more OpenMP functions.
  • Support for namespaces in the IDL compiler.
  • Various bug fixes.
To install Wine just run the following Commands via your systems Terminal.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa
 sudo apt-get update
 sudo apt-get install wine1.7 winetricks
