(Updated) Checkout Color-UI GTK Theme Ver 1.0.3 RC 2 On Xubuntu 14.10 Ubuntu 14.10 Linux Mint 17.1


Color-UI theme is based on the Flatts GTK theme!

Color UI was made with maximum usability in mind, from the window borders to the color scheme, Color UI was made for the user who wants an elegant simple theme that does not look broken. If any part of Color UI has any problems in any of the things I listed as this theme supporting, please notify me in the comments and I will try to fix it ASAP! Feedback is always appreciated, if it was not for feedback how else would Color UI improve.

Color-UI can be downloaded directly from the Ubuntu Alive Dropbox below.

*Note* 
Package contains 3 version of gtk3,gtk2,metacity,unity,xfwm4 and openbox theme.

The icons used are called Numix Circle Icons and can be installed by running the following commands via your systems Terminal.

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:numix/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install numix-icon-theme-circle

The font used is called Kacstbook Medium.


The Wallpaper used is called Numa Flat Pythons by Charlie Henson.

  4. Hey everyone, in Color UI 0.1.4, I fixed the unity titlebar issue, that caused text to be unreadable on the top of windows! Now for the main topic of this comment, in Color UI 0.1.5, I finally was able to theme the XFCE tab window, to match my theme!   5. Hey everyone, today I fixed Color UI text selection colors to not be white on white, this bug effected some programs (like Chromium; Vivaldi; Google Chrome; and other Chromium derivatives)!     *Made openbox menu backgrounds white and removed borders on the menu!

    1.0 EarlyRP 3:
    *Fixed error from running a gtk app like this one -> /home/YOURNAME/.themes/Color-UI/gtk-2.0/styles/tabwin:20: error: invalid string constant "xfwm-tabwin-button", expected valid string constant

  8. Edited my change log to consolidate all the changes made in the release previews of version 1.0 and after fixing the theme to make it work again, I present you with version 1.0.1 RP!

    Changelog Snippit:
    1.0.1 RP:
    *Made openbox menu backgrounds white and removed borders on the menu!

  9. Updated theme and now it is at version 1.5.1 RPF 2 Build 19!

    Changes from 1.3 RC 5:
    *Swapped blue for dark grey color on the check boxes and radio buttons!
    *Removed dark grey strip from left side of buttons!
    *Removed black strip from buttons, menus, and text fields!
