How to install The Latest Audacity On Ubuntu 14.10 Ubuntu 14.04 Linux Mint 17

Audacity 2.0.6 replaces all previous versions.

  • LV2 now supported on all platforms, and improved VST settings interface
  • translations updated, including adding Tamil language
  • other improvements, including to import/export and ease of installation on Mac OS X
Bug Fixes:

To install Audacity just run the following Commands via your systems Terminal.

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:audacity-team/daily

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install audacity
