Canonical is helping China to run Ubuntu in one of the most powerful supercomputer in the world which is located in the Guangdong province in China.
The supercomputer server Tianhe-2 will be fully equipped with Ubuntu Server, Ubuntu Openstack and Ubuntu’s orchestration tool, Juju. The main goal is to make it easy for Government departments to rapidly deploy and manage very high performance cloud environments. According to the official announcement, Tianhe-2 now will be able to deliver high performance OpenStack. And all this thanks to OpenStack and Ubuntu Juju technologies.
Juju is a feature rich tool that is used to configure, manage, maintain, deploy and scale efficiently private or hybrid clouds. It can be used either from a powerful GUI or the command-line.
