BitTorrent Client Transmission Receives Massive Update

Transmission, an open source cross-platform BitTorrent client that strives to be as simple as possible, has advanced to version 2.83 and comes with a flurry of changes and improvements.

Transmission is one of the most used BitTorrent clients on the Linux platform. Besides being a very good application by itself, it's also included by default in Ubuntu, which in turn is the most used desktop Linux flavor.

The application uses GTK and Qt for the interface, and this means that it works very well in most operating systems, including Mac OS X. The developers also provide binaries and the source package for most of the Linux distributions out there.
